This is a charming post-war song. Nice two-color cover of "spooning" couples in the park, including one WWI soldier still in uniform.

Also available on phonograph.

Lyrics for Lovers Lane is Crowded Again:

Verse 1:
There's a spot in the park where couples go after dark,
That is known as "lovers lane,"
While the boys were in France I strolled there one night,
At the place of romance Not a soul was in sight,
But since the boys have come back home once more
You can see the lovers there just as before.

Chorus:
Lovers lane is crowded again
Under ev'ry tree, loving pairs you see
Most ev'ry night lovers come there to woo
The boys teach the girlies how to parlez-vous.
Their hugs and their kisses thrill all the misses,
As they never did before,
Since the doughboys all came back from the trenches
There is not one bit of room on the benches,
Lovers lane is crowded again
Since the boys came sailing home.

Verse 2:
Ev'ry night after dark they make a rush for the park,
To be sure to get a bench,
There are couples galore seen there by the score
Saying love me some more as you did once before,
And really it would fill your heart with joy,
To see ev'ry girlie love her soldier boy.

(Repeat Chorus)
